Emergency Veterinary Care
When your pet has a medical emergency, don’t wait. Call us right away — we’ll help you figure out the next right step.
What counts as urgent?
If something feels seriously wrong with your pet, trust that instinct and call. Common reasons pet owners bring their dog or cat in for urgent care include:
- Trauma, lacerations, or fight wounds
- Sudden lameness or inability to bear weight
- Acute infection
- Urinary tract infection
- Poisoning or suspected toxin exposure
- Loss of appetite, vomiting, or diarrhea
- Eye, ear, nose, or throat problems
- Seizures or sudden loss of movement
- Skin infections or parasites
- Cheat grass or other foreign bodies (common in Central Oregon)
- Sudden metabolic or neurologic symptoms
Not sure if it’s urgent? Call us. We’d rather talk you through it than have you guess.
How we figure out what’s wrong
Pets can’t tell you what’s wrong — which is exactly why we lean on advanced in-house diagnostics to solve the puzzle quickly. From digital X-rays to bloodwork to ultrasound, we have the tools to get answers fast, right here in our office.
What if your pet needs more than we can offer?
We’ll always give you an honest assessment and a clear plan. If your pet needs major surgery beyond our scope, or requires 24-hour monitoring, we’ll refer you to a trusted specialist or a local 24-hour veterinary hospital — no guesswork, no runaround.
After hours? If your pet needs urgent care outside our regular hours, please contact an emergency vet clinic right away.
