From Amanda’s high-energy humor and love for apple crisp frappuccinos to Mersadies’ rescue dog expertise and pumpkin patch adventures, this group shines both in and out of the clinic. Amber, our seasoned leader and outdoor enthusiast, keeps the team grounded with her love for herbal tea and scenic hikes. Meanwhile, Haley, a creative soul and longtime clinic favorite, balances her care for pets with her passion for fall décor and family time.

Amber Holmes
Meet Amber!
Amber began working at High Desert Veterinary as a teenager over two decades ago. With so much institutional knowledge, Amber guides the team with her compassionate brand of leadership, combining her expertise as a vet technician with her role as Clinic Manager alongside Dr. Post. With seven dogs at home, a love for the wild outdoors, and a new grandson to enjoy, Amber knows how to balance the demands of clinic life with the joys of time with family and friends.
Amanda Traweek
Meet Amanda!
Amanda is equal parts passionate and purposeful in her role as vet tech at High Desert where she has worked for the past three of the five years she’s been a tech. Amanda thrives on the busiest of days at the clinic, taking great care of the pets at the clinic and cranking through the details of the medical plans for them following each visit. We appreciate Amanda for her sense of humor and the high energy she brings to her work daily.
Mersadies McDowell
Meet Mersadies!
Mersadies is the founder of Soft Paws Rescue and the reason Dr. Post has three dogs at home (two are from her rescue organization and are the best dogs ever). Committed by love to all animals, Mersadies lives her values of compassion and service everyday at home and at work. Often seen juggling the demands of the reception area, welcoming patients and their pet parents, or with arms full of new puppies, Mersadies is always down to help.
Haley Chambers
Meet Haley!
If you have been a long-time client of HDV, you likely know Haley who is one of most seasoned vet techs and has been with the clinic for over 15 years. A mom of two little ones with a passion for crafting and all things creative, Haley combines her love of animals (she has a pet rabbit at home) with her love of people and always takes great care of both with her warm smile and attentive focus.
