Brent Post, DVM

The proud new owner of High Desert Veterinary!

Some things are simply meant to be, and that’s exactly how Dr. Brent Post felt when he first met Dr. Tony Oddo and the team at High Desert Veterinary. After years of working as a managing DVM, Brent was ready to put down roots in a clinic of his own. At the same time, Tony was looking to pass the torch to someone who shared his vision and passion for veterinary care. The timing couldn’t have been better for either of them.

As the new owner and Medical Director of High Desert Veterinary, Brent is committed to upholding and building on the legacy that Tony established. Brent brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the clinic, backed by his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Carleton College in Minnesota and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis, where he graduated in 2010. With 14 years of hands-on experience, Brent combines his love for animals with his dedication to providing the highest standard of care.

Dr. Post is a strong advocate for clear and empowering communication with clients. He takes a thoughtful approach to veterinary leadership, ensuring that pet owners fully understand their options so they can make the best choices for their pets and families. It’s this warm, compassionate approach that continues to make High Desert Veterinary a special place for both pets and their owners.


 

Holly Lemaire, DVM

Dr. Holly Lemaire began her career as an MRI technologist in human medicine but soon realized her true passion lay in combining her love of animals and medicine. She earned her Bachelor’s in Zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2001. Go Cougs!

With 23 years of experience, Dr. Lemaire has served animals both locally and internationally, contributing her skills to improve their health and welfare. Each project, team, and success story inspires her dream of writing a book someday. Her mantra, “A day without an animal is a day without the grace and glory of nature,” reflects her lifelong dedication.

Dr. Lemaire takes a holistic approach to veterinary care, focusing on each pet’s unique needs, lifestyle, nutrition, and environment. Her wealth of experience and deep compassion guide her in providing thoughtful, personalized care to every animal she treats.

 

Jon Enyart, DVM

Joins us with experience tending to wild animals in their natural habitats.

Dr. Jon Enyart is excited to join the High Desert Veterinary team after relocating to Bend from San Diego this fall. He and his family enjoy Central Oregon’s natural beauty and outdoor activities.

Originally from Kansas, Dr. Enyart earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1999 and graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. He spent a decade as an emergency veterinarian in California, gaining expertise in acute and critical care.

Certified in veterinary acupuncture and Chinese medicine, Dr. Enyart ran a holistic practice from 2014 to 2018, integrating modern medicine with complementary therapies. Later, as Senior Director of San Diego’s Project Wildlife, he developed innovative wildlife care practices and restructured operations.

With experience in emergency, holistic, and wildlife medicine, Dr. Enyart brings a well-rounded approach to the High Desert Veterinary Clinic. Anthony “Tony” Oddo, DVM, MA

Founder of HDV with 37+ years of experience in general veterinary practice.

Dr. Tony Oddo dedicated 37 years to building a trusted community clinic on the 10-acre property that High Desert Veterinary now calls home. A visionary with a deep passion for animals of all sizes, Tony earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis. With a clear focus on serving rural areas, he pursued the mixed-animal track during his studies, gaining additional specialized training in Equine Anesthesia and Critical Care.

In 1983, Tony fulfilled his dream of opening High Desert Veterinary, a clinic dedicated to the care of equine, large, small, and even wild animals across Central Oregon’s high desert. His commitment to comprehensive animal care became the foundation of the practice, which grew alongside the Bend community over the decades. Tony’s vision and expertise established High Desert Veterinary as a reliable and compassionate resource for pet owners and ranchers alike, ensuring that animals receive the highest level of care, no matter their species or circumstance.
